Assignment
Environmental assessment for a proposed 255-km long 500kV transmission line which traverses areas in the southern interior of British Columbia with significantly challenging terrain, protected habitats for Spotted Owl, Class A provincial parks, and which crosses over 500 watercourses and encompasses 3 regional districts. The project corridor passes through the traditional territories of 67 First Nations and Tribal Councils, and represents one of the largest linear projects in BC.
Our Role
The Environmental Assessment Certificate Application under BC Environmental Assessment Office was prepared by an EA team covering 18 technical disciplines involving approximately 100 people, and 5 sub-consultants. The baseline field studies and reporting required a significant level of planning, logistics, and coordination to file the Application on schedule.
