Assignment
This historic town gasworks was located within the centre of the town adjacent to a waterway. The site remediation needed to be designed and implemented to minimise impact on the community and the environment and to accommodate the development of a new shopping mall.
Our Role
Golder designed and specified the remediation works including:
- a 400 m long cement bentonite cut off wall and capping solution for the site
- hydrogeologic assessment and modelling to assess the proposed wall performance
- role as onsite technical superintendent for the works
- site validation
- documenting the project for third party accreditation to allow development to commence.
